DDF - Diocesan Development Fund

What is the DDF?

In common with many Anglican Dioceses in Australia, a fund has been established since 1984 to assist development within the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo. The Diocesan Development Fund, DDF, accepts deposits from individuals and parishes within the Anglican community.

Why deposit with the DDF?

Security, return and flexibility. Three sound reasons to deposit today with the DDF. The DDF pays a competitive return on daily balances.

Interest is paid in June and December and may be drawn or re-lodged as required.

There are NO FEES with the DDF.

Security?

Funds with the DDF are invested by the Bendigo Diocesan Trusts Corporation through professional fund managers. The Bendigo Diocesan Trusts Corporation is the trustee for the Diocese of Bendigo. Professional management ensures the security and availability of depositors’ funds.

The DDF, while being part of the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo, is not prudentially supervised by A.P.R.A. Contributions to the DDF do not obtain the benefit of the depositor protection provisions of the Banking Act 1959. The DDF is designed for depositors who wish to support the charitable purposes of the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo.

Flexibility?

Withdrawals normally can be made at 24 hours notice given during business hours Monday to Friday and are paid direct to depositors by cheque or to a bank account.

Why use the DDF?

The DDF seeks to create an expanding Diocesan financial base and provides secure competitive benefits for depositors, which helps establish new ministry projects in our parishes, ministry development and training.
