History
Situated at the southern gateway to the City of Greater Bendigo, the parish, established in 1862, combines history with a deep sense of mission. Our pioneers carved a new home from virgin bush. Brought here by the lure of gold, they were not to settle until they had set apart God’s acre. This Parish includes the rural districts of Marong, Lockwood and Ravenswood and the residential area of Kangaroo Flat.
Our parish is a caring and creative faith community offering a spiritual home to people of all ages and backgrounds and who are at different stages in their spiritual journey. People from a wide radius worship in our parish, gaining spiritual sustenance from participation in the Anglican tradition.
Unfortunately, the old church was burnt down in December, 2008.
The Parish community now worships in the re-hallowed Church Hall until the new church is built. The entry to the church is from Church Street, behind the old church. Ample parking is available. All the usual services are held in the church e.g. funerals, weddings, baptisms.
